Coached football at Verona Area High School 1948-1950,Jefferson HS 1951-54,Havre,Montana,1955-66 and Verona 1967-77.  Record of 165-82-11. Seven Championships.

Ralph was a coach for 31 years.  His football teams at Havre,Montana won class A state Championships in 1955,1959 and 1961.  In 1982 they placed second.  At Jefferson his 1954 championship team went undefeated with a 9-0 record. At Verona champ[ionships were won in 1970 and 1971.  Ralph was coach of the year in 1955,1959 and 1961 in the state of Montana.
